About This Role The Nursing Supervisor - Capacity Management is responsible for directing patient placement activities and ensuring efficient patient flow across various departments. This role is ideal for experienced RNs with strong leadership and problem‑solving skills. Highlights Location: Edison, NJ Schedule: Per Diem, Night shift What You'll Do Collaborate with nursing supervisors and leadership to define appropriate patient placement. Maintain ongoing communication with leaders and Patient Placement Coordinators to direct capacity operations. Round on all units to assist with barriers to patient flow and movement. Utilize critical thinking to implement solutions to patient placement issues. Diffuse difficult situations and maintain extraordinary customer service. Serve as Capacity and Throughput leader 24/7, directing staff in all departments. Achieve targets for measures defined by the Capacity Management team. Monitor defined measures and promote continuous patient movement. Demonstrate expertise in required computer applications and patient tracking tools. Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior. Requirements Education: RN required BSN preferred Experience: 5+ years of RN experience, preferably in an acute care area Licenses & Certifications: Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License #J-18808-Ljbffr IntelliResume
