Socket Fiber is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join our residential sales team. In this role, you'll go door-to-door in targeted neighborhoods, connecting with homeowners and introducing them to the power of Socket's fiber internet. You'll educate, engage, and close sales that directly support your neighborsand your goals.

No traditional sales background requiredwe train competitive, coachable, energetic people. No telecom experience necessary. Join our company with growth potential.

Compensation: Guaranteed base pay + uncapped commission with clear milestones

Location: This will primarily be working in the field in the Columbia, Missouri area. We are actively hiring in the following markets: Columbia, Jefferson City, Kirksville, and Rolla.

A Day in the Life

You'll start your shift reviewing your route and checking for follow-up leads. Then, it's time to head into the fieldwalking neighborhoods, knocking on doors, and having real conversations with potential customers. Some people will be ready to sign up on the spot, while others might need more info or a follow-up. You'll log activity, stay positive, and keep moving. Evening hours are common, and you'll work some Saturdays to catch people at home. You're supportedbut this is your territory to grow.

What You'll Do:

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Walk neighborhoods and talk with residents about switching to Socket Fiber
• Build rapport quickly and create a great first impression
• Use tools and training to explain our services and answer questions
• Close sales and log activity in our CRM system
• Follow up with leads and coordinate with the install team
• Share field insights with the team to improve outreach strategies
• Represent Socket professionally and follow all safety guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Customer-facing or field sales experience
• Familiarity with internet/telecom a plusbut not required

To be considered for this role, you'll need the following required qualifications:

• Valid driver's license + clean driving record
• Ability to walk several miles/day outdoors in all weather
• Willingness to travel within a 30-mile radius
• Flexibility to work evenings and some Saturdays
• Positive, confident attitude and willingness to be coached
