TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401!

Job Title: MS/Tele Float RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Float Pool Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Current and valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required; CPI preferred Must-Have: MS/Tele and ER holding experience; travel experience required Description: This position is for an RN in an ED holding support role located within the float pool. RTO after booking is not allowed and is not permitted to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in a cancellation. Must be able to keep up with a fast-paced unit and manage a patient ratio of 1:6-7. The ED holding unit has patients located within the emergency department who are waiting for an inpatient bed. These patients may have any medical or surgical adult diagnosis. The RN may also care for PCU level patients. Travelers are expected to take MS/Tele cases as well as float to ED and MedSurg areas as needed. The role may require participating in a storm team or hurricane team during catastrophic events. RNs will be assigned and expected to report to work during mass casualty or disaster situations. Every other weekend work is required. No call is required. A maximum of 7 days of RTO is permitted per contract. Must be able to work holidays. Ratio for MS/Tele cases is 1:6-1:7 and may include PCU patients with a ratio of 1:3-1:4. Standard equipment includes cardiac monitors and IV pumps, among others. Travelers will use standard medication documentation and communication systems. All candidates must pass EKG testing prior to the start for this specialty. The unit is a mixed unit with high acuity patients. Due to the high turnover rate, all candidates will be interviewed. Locals are accepted at a local rate. All skills and certifications listed must be current and valid.
