Job Title: Service Order Dispatcher

Work Location: Yuma, AZ

Labor Category: Full-Time | Non-Exempt | SCA (Service Contract Act)

Clearance Level: No - Public Trust / Tier 1 (As Applicable)

Travel Requirement: Up to 25%

Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour

H&W: $5.09 per hour up to 40 hours

Scope of Work:


The Service Order Dispatcher receives, records, and distributes work orders to service crews in response to customer requests for facility maintenance and repair services. The position prepares and schedules service orders, dispatches service personnel, maintains service-call and work-order records, and communicates with customers and maintenance personnel to support timely and satisfactory completion of services.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and record customer requests for maintenance and repair services.
• Gather and document information necessary to prepare service and work orders, including customer, location, equipment, and service details.
• Prepare, schedule, and distribute work orders to appropriate service crews and maintenance personnel.
• Dispatch service crews and relay messages, work assignments, special instructions, and changes in priority.
• Classify and coordinate service calls according to established emergency, urgent, and routine response requirements.
• Create, update, track, and maintain service calls and work orders within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Monitor the status of open work orders and coordinate with service personnel to support timely completion.
• Follow up with customers, as appropriate, to confirm satisfactory completion of services and address or route outstanding concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, work orders, dispatch activities, and supporting documentation.
• Communicate with service crews and other departments using telephone, cellular, radio, or other designated communication systems.
• Escalate emergency conditions, safety concerns, service interruptions, and other significant issues to appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• One (1) year of relevant experience in dispatch, administrative support, customer service, work control, or facilities maintenance support.
• Experience with a CMMS or similar work-order tracking system preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests and accurately maintain detailed records.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background investigation/Public Trust process, if required for the position.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain access to the Government worksite.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or desk.
• Frequent use of hands for typing, data entry, and handling paperwork.
• Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules as necessary to meet mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.

US Pay Range

$20.50-$20.50 USD
