Associate Medical Director

Join the client as an Associate Medical Director in a non-profit healthcare setting. The Associate Medical Director will lead clinical operations for approximately 222+ participants in a PACE program, overseeing their primary care needs and serving as the medical expert. Working in close partnership with the Medical Director, this role will support ongoing clinical initiatives, including care plans, behavioral health initiatives, and case reviews. Reporting directly to the Medical Director, the Associate Medical Director will help oversee a team of Nurse Practitioners and collaborate with RNs, CNAs, PT/OT, Managers, and the interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include clinical oversight related to workflow development, fall risk management, committee reviews, and operational areas such as finances/invoices and pharmacy workflows. The role focuses on fostering trust through strong staff relationships, assessing team dynamics, identifying and removing barriers, using data to drive decisions, and making recommendations to support continuous improvement and positive change. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, collaborative leader with strong relationship-building skills and the ability to drive results. Requirements include an MD or DO, board certification in a primary care specialty such as Internal Medicine or Family Practice, and at least five years of clinical experience; at least five years of supervisory experience is strongly preferred. Previous PACE experience is strongly preferred but not required. The role also requires a controlled substance license with a current DEA license, eligibility or current possession of a Medicare/Medicaid NPI number, and preference for additional senior care-related credentials (such as Geriatrics, Hospice and Palliative Medicine, or related Medical Director certification).
