Senior Fire Alarm Service/Repair Technician Position Location: Beltsville, MD – serving customers throughout the DC area We are a global technology company focused on creating smart, sustainable buildings. In this role, you will support our Smart Infrastructure team by servicing and maintaining commercial fire alarm systems. You will be responsible for: Executing comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements. Creating detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs. Responding swiftly to, troubleshooting, and completing necessary repairs to maintain system functionality. Identifying code and non‑conformance issues to ensure adherence to required standards. Quoting small repair jobs and providing detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projects. Planning work with Lead Technicians and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems. Must be willing and able to differentiate types/colors of wire, use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet, and carry equipment weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted. Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 2 within 12 months. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read and understand design and construction documents. Must be 18 years of age, possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or state‑recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred. 5+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems. The pay range for this position is $62,791 - $107,590 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
