Position Summary

Since 1997, our factory has been a leading producer of the nation's cat litter supply. Located on Tidy Cat Road, our 40-acre plant site is seamlessly connected to a clay mine, enabling efficient mining, processing, packaging, and shipping. Operating around the clock, we mass produce conventional and clumping cat litter, supplying the mid-Atlantic region with nearly a third of a million tons annually. Our culture of continuous improvement drives Tidy Cats® product innovations, revolutionizing the cat litter category with LightWeight® litter, combining strength with half the weight. We're also doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As Accounting Coordinator, you'll work with manufacturing and finance teams to coordinate vendor setups and payments, close capital projects expenses, manage miscellaneous functions related to payables, and oversee inventory receipts and customer service. Bring your attention to detail and solution-oriented approach to our team in King William and make a direct impact on our company performance.

• Process invoices and work with suppliers, vendors, and department managers to ensure payments are received in a timely manner

• Understand, investigate, and resolve all discrepancies with invoices and accounts payables

• Address errors and verify accuracy of purchase orders from the purchasing department to ensure proper inventory levels and payments are processed

• Perform period-end activities including accruals, purchase order tracking, reporting, and other activities needed to close the books

• Interact with plant engineers to assist in closing capital projects via SAP

• Assist in month end close tasks

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

• 1+ years' experience in accounting, clerical, or inventory, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment

The approximate pay range for this position is $40,000 to $55,000 per year. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
