Casualty Field Claims Representative - Virginia Virginia Farm Bureau is seeking a customer-focused Casualty Field Claims Representative (CFCR) to join our claims team. The role is responsible for handling a variety of claims and providing efficient settlements in accordance with company procedures and standards. Position: Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. Full Time position (37.50 hours per week) - This is a fully remote position, must live in the state of Virginia. Primary Duties: Investigate all losses assigned for Virginia Farm Bureau members Comply with company policies and procedures in the handling of all losses and other company matters. Report all activity on all claim files to the company promptly. Prioritize First Contact Settlement Communications with Claimants Promptly reply to all complaints as requested. Advise Underwriting Department on all poor risks Assist and give guidance to other claim personnel as requested. All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Minimum Educational/Experience/Skills: College degree or equivalent work experience Minimum 5+ years claims handling experience Equivalent/Applicable prior insurance claims experience Knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Code of Virginia Knowledge of tort laws affecting civil cases Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills Proven customer service skills Strong investigation and settlement skills Preferred Qualifications/Skills: Previous VFB claims experience a plus Knowledge of insurance contracts issued by the company Experience with casualty insurance claims Completion of AIC, CPCU or SCLA designation At VA Farm Bureau, we provide an exceptional benefits package, including ongoing job development and support in all roles, paid training and continuing education reimbursement, medical and dental insurance available on your first day, generous employee 401K contribution, excellent Paid Time off (PTO) plan and more!
