Join Our Dynamic Team as an LPN - Nights!

Job Description:


- Location: Rehab Hospital, Madison, WI
- Position Type: Travel LPN (NIGHTS)
- Minimum Experience Required:
- 13 weeks of Epic experience
- Inpatient rehab or Med Surg experience mandatory
- Patient Cases: 70% referred from Trauma Center, providing a unique challenge and opportunity for growth.

Facility Highlights:
- Setting: Free-standing, 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation facility
- Programs Offered: Specialized programs for stroke, brain/spinal-cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other rehabilitation needs
- Goal: Help patients achieve their highest level of recovery and return home as soon as possible

Unit Profile:
- Department: Rehab
- Roles: RN/LPN
- Shift: 12 hours (6:30 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Weekend Shifts: Every other weekend and holiday rotations
- Call Requirements: Yes

Certifications and Experience:
- Required Certifications: BLS
- Experience:
- 1+ year in skilled nursing or 24/7 skilled care environment
- Preferred experience in Med Surg or inpatient rehabilitation

Your Responsibilities:
- Work with high-acuity patients in a similar environment to medical surgical units
- Assist CNAs and respond to call lights for patient safety
- Engage actively with a supportive team environment

Additional Information:
- Attendance Policy: Adhere to internal attendance and tardy policy
- Breaks: Mandatory 30-minute unpaid break, plus two 15-minute paid breaks during a 12-hour shift
- Patient Ratios: 1:7
- Equipment: Utilize mobility equipment, vital machines, EKG machines, and computers for charting
- EHR System: EPIC
- Patient Population: Adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services with high acuity needs
