Role Description The Subcontract Administrator is responsible for the end‑to‑end administration of non‑prime (sub‑tier) subcontracts that support various LM Space Programs. Key Responsibilities The role serves as the primary liaison between external suppliers, while being an internal POC for program teams, engineering, legal/compliance and finance ensuring timely, compliant, and value driven subcontract execution. The role ensures that all subcontract documents are created, reviewed, approved, executed, and maintained in compliance with company policy, federal acquisition regulations, and customer contractual requirements. This role prepares subcontractor Request for Proposal (RFP) packages, conducts bidders' list to ensure competitive outreach, develops evaluation criteria, and analyzes and evaluates proposals to determine best‑value subcontractor for Program. Additionally, the role includes all execution tasks supporting negotiating subcontract terms and conditions and price, supporting all authorization to proceed tasks for multiple contract types through hardware delivery. Location & Working This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near one of our Lockheed Martin Space facilities in either: Denver, CO Rock City USA: Huntsville/Courtland AL Sunnyvale, CA Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education. 3+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management (i.e. Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, and/or Category Management). Desired Skills Prior experience with FAR and DFARS. Knowledge of space hardware products and familiarity with the LM Space Programs. Strong business acumen and the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced team environment and work well under pressure. Proven exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, program and executive management, with an ability to persuade and motivate action. Previous professional experience in Subcontract Management and/or Project Management. Demonstrated skills to drive culture change supporting enterprise initiatives (i.e. hardware commonization and insertion into programs, shift to 'we vs. me' behaviors). Positive and enthusiastic attitude with effective relationship‑building skills with peers, stakeholders, and suppliers. Implementation of continuous improvement leading to improved team and supplier performance. The position is incentive plan eligible. Pay Rate The annual base salary range for this position is $80,400 - $139,380, depending on location. Salary reflects scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education and market considerations.
