Senior Civil or Geotechnical Engineer 3 Walnut Creek, CA – Full‑time Join Haley & Aldrich as a senior engineer leading diverse projects for clients in the built and natural environments. In this role, you will provide expert consulting, lead technical teams, and shape client solutions. Duties / Responsibilities Lead major consulting assignments and provide expert‑level technical and strategic consulting aligned with client needs. Leverage breadth of experience across clients, projects, codes, regulatory frameworks, and market segments to align project scopes with objectives. Develop and improve team technical competence and professional standards. Direct, coach, and support staff on quality execution of multiple projects simultaneously. Serve as leader and mentor for staff across levels, fostering growth and innovation within our practice areas. Enhance company visibility through external organization leadership, conference sessions, paper publishing, and stakeholder engagement. Lead large project technical evaluations, design & contract package development, construction procurement support, and act as Certifying Engineer of Record or Geotechnical Expert. Oversee construction quality control, including field and laboratory testing. Ensure adherence to company and client health and safety protocols. Demonstrate foundational safety behaviors. Minimum Skills and Experience Master’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical Engineering or related field. 12+ years of professional consulting experience. Professional registration or certification in California (CE and GE), as applicable. Ability to integrate industry‑leading advancements into work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations to clients and stakeholders. Emotional intelligence applied to impact teams and client communications. Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D. Proficiency with relevant geotechnical analysis software. Preferred Skills Proficiency with GIS software. Proficiency with specialized software applications. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $150,000 – $180,000 annually (Walnut Creek, CA). Compensation depends on education, experience, certifications, skills, and market conditions.
