Construction Project Engineer or Asst. Project Manager - Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction Last updated 4/29/25 Norfolk, VA - Full-time - $80,000 - $110,000 Job Description Currently looking for an experienced Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager with 3-8 years or more hands on experience to fill an opening with a leader in treatment plant construction. Interested candidates must not have more than 3 jobs in the last 10 years and have 3-5 years minimum of experience in this industry. Full time-long term opening with excellent advancement opportunity. Responsibilities of the Water/Wastewater Construction Project Engineer/Assistant PM Assist in the development and monitoring of project budgets. Run assigned project(s) to meet or surpass budget and on time completion. Collect and code project cost documents and continually monitor and update the budget to reflect changes in work. Monitor project schedules and review work schedules for improving work methods. Oversee the timely submittal and completion of documentation required by the owner and agencies. Prepare subcontractor and supplier agreements to be executed and prepare correspondence to document changes in work or costs. Work with foreman and superintendents to monitor all activities to insure a safe and efficient working environment for crews, subcontractors and the public. Promote good public relations with owners, subcontractors, and the public. Requirements of the Water/Wastewater Construction Project Engineer/Assistant PM Four year degree in Construction Management or Engineering field. Proven Project Engineering skills in Water/Wastewater self-performed construction. Skill in successfully working with project teams and preconstruction with structural concrete, mechanical process piping and excavation experience. Team player with strong work ethic. It done attitude. Smaller to medium sized experience in the $10M - $80M project range. Working knowledge of Design Build and alternative delivery methods is a Big Plus. Compensation for the Water/Wastewater Construction Project Engineer/Assistant PM The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 - $100,000 DOE, plus discretionary annual bonus, Full Medical coverage and paid vacation/PTO. #J-18808-Ljbffr
