Technologist - Interventional Radiology Lab at Temple Health - Chestnut Hill Hospital (Philadelphia, PA)

Per Diem Opportunity

We are a small community hospital seeing less than 20 patients a day with a mixture of inpatients and outpatients. We typically staff 2-3 techs and 3-4 RNs per shift. Cases seen include thoracentesis, paracentesis, line placements, LPs, biopsies, drain placements, some dialysis work, GI bleeds, UAEs, port placements, G-tube placements/replacements, nephrostomy tube placements/replacements, chole tube placements/replacements.

Years of experience preferred: 1 year or more. Certifications required: BLS. Specific skills expected: Ability to set up tables and scrub with physicians. Ability to use Epic to look up patients. Specific machine knowledge: Siemens Artis Zee, GE Ultrasounds.

Nurse to patient ratio if applicable: 2/1:1. Unit size/beds: IR: two rooms, three holding bays; Hospital: 148 beds. Techs are mostly affected by call in that they may stay late when on call, but it is not often they are actually called in overnight/weekends. Holidays are also only call; the department itself is not open. Call hours are any time outside of the department being open.
