The position pays $20 - $24 per hour.CNC Operator/ProgrammerFabricate items such as machine parts and tools; primarily working with plasticsSet up CNC lathes according to blueprint specificationsSelect and align holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machinesConduct quality assurance checksMake machine adjustments and modify program speedsSupports lean manufacturing through 5S methodology: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and SustainAdhere to all ISO standards and participate in regular ISO auditsWorks with the supervisor to organize work in the production area to meet current workloads, ensuring all orders are completed accuratelyAdheres to all safety rules and guidelinesInternally, the CNC Operator will interact with other DC employees, production employees, and the planning team. The CNC Operator will not have any external interactions.Required Professional Experience & Educational Qualifications for the JobHigh School Diploma, Technical Training, or equivalent degreeHigh level of commitment and flexibilityWillingness and ability to work shiftsWillingness and resilience to meet the physical demands of the position; lift up to 50 pounds and standing for 4 or more hours at a timeFlexibility to work in a fast-paced and consistently changing environmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints2 or more experience in a manufacturing, production, or distribution center type of role is preferred1 or more years of experience as a CNC Operator, preferredForklift or power equipment certification a plusExperience RequiredHigh School Diploma, Technical Trade School, or GED required3 to 5 years minimum experience working in a manufacturing machining environment3 to 5 years minimum experience programming, setting up and operating CNC lathe equipment3+ years' experience programming at the machine controls using G code
