Job Description Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Home Health Virginia Beach, VA and Surrounding Areas Discover a new lane in therapy where treatments are personal and outcomes are meaningful.

Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate, motivated Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide skilled home health physical therapy services throughout Newport News and the surrounding communities.

Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, you'll help patients regain strength, improve mobility, reduce pain, and achieve greater independence—all from the comfort of their homes.QualificationsActive Virginia Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) LicenseGraduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programMinimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in home health or another post-acute care settingKnowledge of state and federal home health regulationsStrong clinical judgment, communication, interpersonal, and documentation skillsCurrent CPR certification (or ability to obtain)Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insuranceWhy Join Interim HealthCare?PRN: $55.00/Visit Eligible for performance and tenure-based bonusesFlexible scheduling with excellent work-life balanceOne-on-one therapist-to-patient care allowing you to make a meaningful impactAutonomy and independence while serving patients in their homesOnline training, professional development, and CEU opportunitiesPaid Time Off and Company Paid HolidaysMedical, Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life Insurance availableWhat You'll DoProvide skilled home health physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve mobility, balance, strength, endurance, and functional independence.Assist patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, and other medical diagnoses.Perform home visits while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care that supports rehabilitation and recovery.Observe patient progress, conduct assessments, document findings, and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.Modify treatment interventions as directed to help patients achieve their established goals.Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety techniques, fall prevention, mobility strategies, and self-care.Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary home health team.Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines, Virginia regulations, and Interim HealthCare standards.
