Produce Team LeaderPosition OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Produce Team Leader to join our produce management team. The Produce Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Produce and Floral Department while ensuring exceptional customer service, high product quality, proper inventory levels, and efficient department operations. This position plays an important role in supporting the success of the department through effective leadership, employee development, product knowledge, and a commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our customers.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operations of the Produce Department, ensuring efficient and organized department performance.Maintain proper inventory levels while minimizing waste and maintaining product freshness.Ensure high standards of product quality, presentation, freshness, and overall department appearance.Provide exceptional customer service and respond professionally to customer questions, concerns, and requests.Review incoming deliveries for accuracy and qualityUtilize weekly buying guide to determine sourcingTrain, develop, motivate, and provide direction to department employees.Maintain strong knowledge of produce products, including product quality, handling, storage, and merchandising.Monitor department performance and ensure company standards and procedures are consistently followed.Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining productivity and attention to detail.Additional experience and knowledge of floral operations is preferred.Other duties as assigned.  QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of produce experience, with prior management experience required.Strong knowledge of produce products, quality standards, merchandising, and department operations.Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Positive attitude and ability to work effectively with customers, employees, and management.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule as needed.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift 50lb and move products and materials regularly throughout the shift.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.Ability to work in a multi-temperature environment, including refrigerated and non-refrigerated areas.Perks, Benefits & Career GrowthAt Caraluzzi's Markets, we believe in recognizing and rewarding hard work with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.Depending on eligibility, our perks and benefits package may include:Comprehensive healthcare; medical, dental, and vision coverageSupplemental insurance options401(k) retirement plan with matchingTuition reimbursementStudent loan assistanceVacation time offPaid sick time and paid holidaysFamily oriented promote from within cultureOpportunities for career advancement and growthOther Info:This document provides a general summary of the essential responsibilities and duties and is not meant to include all job duties or requirements for every position.Compensation is based on a range of factors, including experience, skills, training, certifications, and overall business needs.
