Job Responsibilities
- Craft Customized Treatment Plans: Assess each patient's unique needs and design personalized therapy strategies to support their journey to achieving functional goals.
- Implement Effective Therapeutic Techniques: Apply research-based approaches to improve patients' motor skills, cognitive abilities, and daily activities.
- Collaborate with a Multidisciplinary Team: Work closely with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive care.
- Educate Patients and Families: Guide patients and their caregivers on therapy methods that foster continued progress at home.
- Document and Monitor Progress: Track clinical outcomes diligently and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure continued patient advancement.
- A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
- Active participation in continuing education and professional development is encouraged.
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) licensure is mandatory.
- NBCOT certification required for practice.
- A deep passion for enhancing patients' lives and a genuine desire to help others attain their utmost level of independence.
- Effective and empathetic communication skills with both patients and fellow team members.
