Code Enforcement Officer

The City of Cumberland will be accepting applications for the part-time position of Code Enforcement Officer. This a part time position, with a work schedule of twenty-nine (29) hours per week. The compensation for this position is $15.50 per hour. The position has no benefits, and the selected individual will be expected to sign an employment agreement.
Responsibilities and duties will include but not limited to: Enforcing City of Cumberland ordinances, codes, and regulations; interacts with the public in regard to enforcement issues and general information matters; perform related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Applicants are required to possess a high school diploma, or GED. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of local parking laws and ordinances, and the ability to navigate the City of Cumberland efficiently. Applicants must maintain a valid drivers license and pass a civilian police employee background check. Applications may be obtained from the City Hall Receptionist, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. They may also be found on the City of Cumberland website at Completed applications are to be returned to the Human Resource Office prior to 3:00pm on 9/24/26.
