We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join a team on a Contract to Permanent basis. This role is well suited for an accounting specialist who enjoys maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end activity, and contributing to day-to-day general ledger operations. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure financial activity is recorded accurately and on time.

• Maintain the general ledger by reviewing transactions, resolving discrepancies, and supporting overall account integrity.

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including account analysis and reconciliation work.

• Review financial data for accuracy and completeness and help investigate variances when needed.

• Support the preparation of internal financial reports and provide accounting documentation for audits or management review.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather information, clarify accounting details, and improve workflow efficiency.

• Experience working in a staff accountant or similar accounting role.
• Hands-on knowledge of journal entries and general ledger accounting.
• Understanding of core accounting principles and financial reconciliation processes.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines accurately.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in a detail-focused environment.
