Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in Endoscopy to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care for patients ranging from adults to geriatrics, and possess relevant experience in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing various endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to ERCP, Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Colonoscopy, and Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD).
• Operate necessary medical equipment and perform related tasks to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions during procedures and recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system (Epic).

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in Endoscopy or related fields; new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Experience with ERCP, ERCP with Spy Glass, Bronchoscopy, EBUS Procedures, Colonoscopy, EGD, and ION Procedure is essential.

Working Conditions:

• Shifts consist of 2 days of 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM) and 2 days of 8-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM), totaling 36 hours per week.
• Attendance is required for 2-3 weekends during the contract period.
• All major holidays falling within the assignment period will require the nurse to work, with expectations to cover a set number of holidays based on assignment duration.
• No floating to other units and minimal call requirements are expected.

Compliance and Training:

• Full compliance with all certification and regulatory requirements is necessary prior to starting.
• Non-billable orientation hours will be determined based on contract length.
• A clinical screening will be conducted to assess the candidate's fit within the unit, followed by a managerial review for final decision-making.
