Position Summary: The Texas Family Clinic is an Internal Medicine and Pediatric outpatient clinic, looking for an experienced self-motivated Medical Assistant with a professional and positive attitude. In this position, you will work under the direct supervision of a Physician to coordinate patient care. This is a full time position.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast paced environment with the ability to work well under pressure
• Accurately document clinical messages
• Room, take vitals for patients
• Administer vaccines
• Perform EKGs
• Perform receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing 
• Assist with referral and prior authorizations

Qualifications:

• Must be Medical Assistant Certified
• Demonstrates resourcefulness, independent thinking, and seeks additional challenges and opportunities on their own
• Clear communicator
• Must have excellent customer care skills
• Must be a team player
• Must be able to multi-task
• Dependable

Required Skills and Attributes:

• Punctual
• Problem-solver
• Takes Initiative

Preferred Skills:

• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• EPIC experience a huge plus

Work Hours:

• Work hours Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Friday 8:00am -12:00 pm
