Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of blood and urine specimens to ensure laboratory accuracy and efficiency. Perform venipuncture to collect blood specimens from patients, adhering to safety and identification protocols. Observe and collect urine specimens from patients through observed or supervised collection methods, ensuring specimen integrity. Properly identify patients before specimen collection, following established departmental procedures. Label and document specimens accurately, ensuring all samples are ready for shipment. Demonstrate excellent customer service and compassion when interacting with diverse patient populations, physicians, and clinic staff. Communicate effectively and react appropriately to patient needs and clinic dynamics. Follow all OSHA standards and Universal Precautions when handling specimens, maintaining a safe work environment. Adhere strictly to HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality. Inform supervisors about low-volume shifts, unusual observations, or procedural deviations. Maintain neat and organized work areas at all times. Assist in order processing and managing office supplies as needed.

Minimum of 6 months venipuncture experience in a clinical setting. Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service in healthcare. Reliable with a strong work ethic and punctuality. Strong computer skills, including managing multiple programs, email correspondence, and data entry. Ability to perform fast, accurate data entry and specimen documentation. Clear and confident communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.

Preference will be given to candidates with patient care technician or drug screen collection experience. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities such as standing for long periods, sitting, bending, reaching, and kneeling. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, approximately 30 hours per week. Certification or licensure in phlebotomy is preferred but not explicitly required; six months of relevant venipuncture experience is essential. Experience working with urine drug screens and observing specimen collections is highly desirable. Reliable transportation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
