Submit your application and let’s turn possibilities into reality!****What you will be doing:** The Vertex Technical Operations-Drug Product team is looking for a motivated Co-op to join our team this spring. The Co-op will be responsible for assessing historical manufacturing/process data to identify trends and identify oppurtunities to improve the process. The Co-op will have the opportunity to interact with multiple departments (Drug Product Operations, Quality Operations and Analytical Development), as well as work with talented people from different cultures and backgrounds.**Key Responsibilities:*** Analyze historical manufacturing/process data to identify trends, patterns, variability and potential process drivers-* Perform data cleaning, visualization and statistical analysis using tools such as JMP, Excel or Power BI* Develop meaningful visualizations and dashboards to communicate process performance and emerging trends* Partner with Manufacturing Science & Technology and Quality teams to translate data into actionable process insights.* Collaborate in a cross-functional team to develop solutions* Identify opportunities to improve process monitoring, data utilization and manufacturing performance.* Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders*.***Qualifications:*** Must be enrolled in a College/University and have at least finished one year of a Master’s or phD degree in Chemical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering with a strong background in statistics and data analytics.* Strong self-initiative, communication, and interpersonal and relationship skills* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in manufacturing process data* Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization.* Proficiency in Excel; experience with JMP /Minitab is preferred.* Minimum 3.5 GPA* Legal authorization to work in the United States, now and in the future.
