Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical, Nights

Location

Roswell, New Mexico

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed general Medical Surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:6 (occasionally 1:7)
• Care for post-operative orthopedic and general surgery patients within the scope of a general Med Surg unit
• Float as needed, with occasional assignments to the ICU to manage step-down or Med Surg overflow patients
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Mindray Telemetry System to document and monitor patient care
• Adhere to unit protocols, scrub color requirements (Royal Blue), and facility compliance standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Mexico or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to complete New Mexico state fingerprinting requirements prior to start (note: this process may take several weeks; submitting agency must be registered with the state of New Mexico)
• Willingness to float as needed and work every other weekend

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR and/or Mindray Telemetry systems
• Experience with step-down or ICU overflow patient populations
