Automotive Porter And Assembly AssociateThe Staff Management | SMX team in Lafayette, IN, is hiring Automotive Porters and Assembly Associates! We are looking for associates who can perform hands-on work to support the efficient movement, processing, and customization of vehicles. All associates must have a valid driver's license and a clean MVR.1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6 am- 2:30 pm2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 4:30 pm-1 pmPerks & BenefitsWeekly paychecksDirect Deposit or Cash Card pay optionsMedical / Dental InsuranceAdvancement Opportunities$17.00 - $19.50 / HourReferrals welcome!Employment Type & ShiftsFull Time1st Shift2nd ShiftJob ResponsibilitiesWithin the team, associates will specialize as Vehicle Processors, Rail Processors, Ramp Installers, Drivers, Heavy Accessories Installers, and Light Accessory Installers.Team members will be responsible for tasks such as inspecting and preparing vehicles for shipment, installing accessories ranging from basic interior features to large external components, setting up ramps and bridge plates for safe vehicle movement, loading vehicles onto railcars, and transporting vehicles within terminal grounds.Associate RequirementsHS Diploma or GEDBackground CheckAble to Lift 50 poundsDrug TestMust be at least 18 years oldThe hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $17.00 - $19.50 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
