Registered Nurse - Intensive Nursing Care Unit (Part Time)

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Position located at Del Sol Medical Center in east El Paso, Texas. Responsibilities Provide professional nursing care to patients using the nursing process. Collaborate with other members of the health care delivery team, including physicians, to deliver quality health care. Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record. Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology. Qualifications Current Registered Nursing License in the state of Texas or Compact state – Required. Bachelor's in Nursing Science – Preferred. Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing – Required. Medical/Surgical Nursing experience – Preferred. Medical Surgical ANCC Certification – Preferred. Reads and writes basic English – Required. Basic computer skills and proficiency – Required.
