This role is in Textron System's Weapon Systems business area.Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler with at least 5 years of hands-on experience to join our highly skilled team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling mechanical components, subassemblies, and systems, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong aptitude for working with tools, blueprints, and technical specifications.Job Responsibilities:Assemble mechanical components and systems according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.Use hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment to perform precise assembly work.Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet performance and safety standards.Troubleshoot and identify issues during the assembly process and recommend corrective measures if needed.Follow safety protocols and comply with all company policies and procedures.Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet production schedules and resolve technical challenges.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to ensure efficiency and safety.Document assembly processes and maintain records of completed work.Optimize traditional lathes, mills, and 3-5 axis CNC machining centers.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment.High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in mechanical assembly is a plus.Strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.Proficiency with mechanical tools and assembly equipment.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and move heavy materials when required.Familiarity with safety practices and regulations in a manufacturing environment.Team-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.At Textron Systems, our talented people make us successful.
