Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer will support the planning, design, analysis, and testing of mechanical equipment, systems, and processes related to environmental control systems. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting medium-complexity engineering projects under general supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical equipment, systems, and processes for environmental control systems.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses to validate designs.
• Troubleshoot issues related to assembly, repair, and testing of systems.
• Support secondary projects or portions of major engineering programs.
• Assist senior engineers on complex engineering assignments.
• Prepare engineering reports and technical documentation.
• Present technical designs and solutions to internal teams and customers.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers, designers, and drafters when needed.
• Work closely with cross-functional departments to support project execution.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
• 2–5 years of experience in design, analysis, and development of industrial equipment.
• Hands-on experience with testing and hardware.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD and PDM Vault.
• Strong understanding of applied thermodynamics and mechanical design.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to deliver technical presentations to customers.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace or defense industry experience.
• Experience developing thermal systems.
• Knowledge of electrical circuits and control theory.
• Understanding of military, environmental, and test specifications
