Opportunity Highlights

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; No call responsibilities; Start ASAP through 5/28/2027

Job Setting:

Inpatient - Behavioral Health; Acute psychiatric unit, long-term psychiatric facility, and sub-acute/residential

Types of Cases:

14-16 patients per shift; ratio of follow-ups to new evaluations 10:1; management of wide age ranges (pre-adolescent to geriatric); mood disorders, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, anxiety disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, eating disorders, developmental disorders, and organic disorders; medication management, treatment plan development, pharmacotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, and ECT; involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, and restraint application; supervision of Nurse Practitioners; collaboration with treatment team, pharmacy, and hospital staff

Credentialing:

Estimated 30 days; temporary privileges not available

Minimum Requirements

Board Certified/Board Eligible:

Board Certified or Board Eligible (board certification required within 24 months of eligibility); Child/Adolescent psychiatry board certification preferred; 3+ years of experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting preferred

Certifications:

ABLS, ACLS, BLS required

Licensure:

Must be licensed in Georgia only; IMLC not accepted
