Controls Technician - $41.72/hr!This position is a direct hire opportunity!Integrity Trade Services is hiring a **Controls Technician **for our automotive manufacturing client to start immediatelyat $41.72/hr! Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire!Responsibilities:The Controls Technician supports the installation, operation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of a wide variety of plant electrical and automated manufacturing systems. This includes programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interface (HMI) systems, robotics, CNC controls, and related electrical equipment.Make electrical-system modifications to existing machinery and newly installed equipment to enhance employee safety, machine performance, and manufacturing efficiencyMaintain, organize, and store electrical schematics, prints, and programmable processor files for equipment and automation systemsAssist with establishing and maintaining processes for creating, revising, and updating electrical prints and documentationIdentify, diagnose, and resolve electrical, controls, and automation-related equipment issues as neededPartner with Manufacturing and Quality teams regarding equipment controls, machine concepts, automation improvements, and process requirementsProvide controls and automation support to Plant Maintenance for preventive-maintenance activities and repairs to plant systemsFollow all company policies, procedures, and applicable state code requirementsProgram, revise, and support PLCs, HMIs, robots, and other electrical or electronic manufacturing equipment as requiredTake a lead role in troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment and restoring equipment to safe operating conditionSupport continuous-improvement projects, including cycle-time reduction, equipment standardization, and error-proofing initiativesAssist with automation projects and improvement efforts throughout the plantDevelop and maintain a working knowledge of departmental processes, products, and equipment in support of progression through the training programComplete required training-matrix certifications for each assigned operation; progression may be tied to a progressive pay structureDemonstrate the knowledge, skills, and capabilities required to operate departmental machinery according to established certification standardsMeet and exceed established production, quality, and performance expectationsMaintain working knowledge of applicable plant and departmental computer systemsDemonstrate dependable attendance, a stable work history, strong attention to detail, and commitment to qualityPowered Industrial Truck Permit preferred**Location: **Portland, MISchedule/Shift Details: 2nd Shift, 2:30pm – 11:00pmOvertime as needed.Qualifications:Associate of Science degree in Controls Engineering or a closely related technical discipline preferredThree to five years of controls-related experience preferredPrior experience in a manufacturing environment preferredWorking knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and motion-control systems preferredStrong understanding of PCs, PLCs, CNC controls, and related automation technologies preferredExperience using CAD software and electrical-drawing systems preferredEffective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong planning, prioritization, and organizational abilitiesAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamBenefits:MedicalDentalVisionPTO401kWhy choose Integrity Trade Services?At ITS, we offer our employees a competitive salary paid weekly and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.Interested?
