Patient ratios: 1:5
The shift is 8-hour days from 07:45 to 17:15. A total of 40 hours can be offered per week. No weekends are required.
Patients being treated are adults over the age of 18, specifically in hematology and medical oncology. There are currently 10 infusion chairs to accommodate social distancing. The unit uses various systems for operations, including Pyxis and Epic. Mixing techs or pharmacy handle all mixing procedures. Orientation will vary by skill level and take place during the first week. Scrubs are not provided; navy blue is required. Pre-shift COVID screening is mandatory. There is no call requirement. Floating within the assigned facilities may occur based on operational needs. Candidates must be comfortable with floating and have no restrictions or special requests. All candidates must abide by fatigue policies, which limit working over 60 hours per week.
