Title: Mail Processing Clerk

Location: Farmington, MO 63640

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM CST, 40 hours per week with possible overtime based on daily mail volume, up to 8 hours per week

Employment Type: W2 Temp-to-hire Assignment; potential for extension or conversion to FTE based on business needs

About the Role

We are hiring a Mail Processing Clerk to support the mailroom operations of a large healthcare organization. This position focuses on processing incoming claims-related correspondence and other documents for departments across the organization. You’ll help keep documents organized and moving through the operation by opening, sorting, preparing, and imaging incoming materials while maintaining accurate processing records.

This is a hands-on, production-focused role where attention to detail and consistency are important. Daily workloads can change based on mail volume, so you’ll work as part of a team to keep documents moving through the process and meet established production and quality standards.

Mail Processing Clerk Responsibilities

• Open, sort, organize, and prepare incoming paper documents for processing
• Image incoming documents so they can be processed electronically
• Maintain accurate records, files, and processing documentation
• Meet established production and quality standards for assigned work
• Work with team members to keep daily mail processing on track
• Assist in other areas of the operation, including in-office or remote support, as business needs change

Mail Processing Clerk Experience and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3 months to 1 year of experience in a production, mailroom, document processing, data entry, clerical, warehouse, or other task-oriented environment preferred
• Experience handling, sorting, organizing, scanning, or processing documents or other materials is helpful
• Experience completing repetitive or high-volume tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to meet daily productivity expectations and adjust to changing workloads
• Healthcare experience is helpful but not required
• Mailroom or claims-processing experience is helpful but not required
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support changing business needs

Mail Processing Clerk Work Environment

This is an onsite, production-based position where daily responsibilities may vary depending on mail volume and business needs. The role involves hands-on document processing, organization, and repetitive task work while maintaining accuracy and productivity throughout the day.

Mail Processing Clerk Additional Information

Overtime may be available depending on daily mail counts, with the schedule flexing as needed to meet production demands. Up to 8 hours of overtime may be offered per week.
