Production Planning and Control Manager

Position Summary This position serves as the site’s Master Scheduler, overseeing Production Scheduling, Delivery Coordinators, and other support function teams. The role is responsible for the development, release, and maintenance of program master schedules, functional operating schedules, and order release schedules. The Master Scheduler coordinates Sales, Inventory, and Operations planning, capacity reviews, and manages the scheduling team to ensure accurate and feasible schedule status that supports manufacturing throughput and meets customer requirements and sales commitments. This role is based at our Washington, MO site and is not available as remote or hybrid. Responsibilities Support the SIOP process and provide the consolidated weekly schedule, monitoring progress against forecasted plans, and delivering updates on risks and recommendations. Collaborate with the scheduling team on data collection, strategy development, risk mitigation, and backup tactical planning during absences. Interface with cross‑functional disciplines and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Manage and direct the team of schedulers, delivery coordinators, and production support activities. Conduct performance management activities including goal setting, annual reviews, and individual development plans. Develop production schedules for assigned products, ensuring sufficient lead time for raw materials and components. Manage capacity plans and headcount allocation to ensure work centers are fully scheduled and planned. Reschedule shop floor operations as needed to meet lead time requirements and resolve obstacles to schedule attainment. Level order commitments to meet customer requirements while maximizing efficiency and minimizing inventory. Ensure accurate information, reconcile supply and demand, and validate scheduling requirements. Adhere to all safety rules and policies as determined by the organization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent training, education, and experience. Minimum five (5) years of production scheduling experience, preferably in aerospace. Previous leadership experience and APICS certification are preferred. Proficiency in production operations, control, scheduling, distribution, inventory management, reorder points (ROP), and MRP. Superior proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office suite. Experience with SAP required. Strong analytical skills, ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to present data in a clear, professional format.
