QA Automation Engineer

As an QA Automation Engineer , we are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Cypress for testing mobile web or hybrid applications. The candidate will be having a strong background in automation scripting, testing strategies for mobile apps, and experience working with Cypress in a mobile context.


Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts for mobile web/hybrid applications using Cypress.
• Design and implement robust testing frameworks to ensure high-quality mobile app releases.
• Collaborate with product owners and developers to understand requirements and create automation strategies.
• Perform manual testing when necessary to supplement automated tests.
• Identify, report, and track defects to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and tools.
• Ensure testing processes adhere to quality standards and best practices for mobile applications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in testing and automation practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in QA automation for mobile web or hybrid applications using Cypress.
• Strong understanding of Cypress testing framework and JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Experience in testing on mobile browsers and hybrid apps.
• Knowledge of test automation best practices and design patterns.
• Familiarity with mobile environments, emulators, and real devices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience in Cyprus or working on Cyprus-based projects is a plus.

Preferred, but not required:

• Knowledge of native mobile app testing (iOS & Android).
• Experience with other automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Appium, Selenium).
• Experience with cloud testing services like Sauce Labs or Browser Stack.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows
