Our client, a global manufacturing organization, is seeking a Plant Controller to serve as the financial leader for its Ashtabula facility while supporting two additional manufacturing locations. This is not a back‑office accounting role—it is a true business partnership position working side‑by‑side with the Plant President and Operations leadership team. Why This Opportunity Stands Out Highly visible leadership role with direct access to plant and corporate leadership Opportunity to influence operational and financial decision‑making Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote Exposure to multiple manufacturing facilities and leadership teams Strong career growth potential within a large global organization Collaborative culture that values finance as a strategic business partner What You'll Be Doing Serve as the financial business partner to the Plant President and Operations leadership team Lead all plant accounting, cost accounting, inventory, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities Analyze manufacturing performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive profitability initiatives Provide meaningful financial insights that support operational decision‑making Lead monthly close, variance analysis, internal controls, audits, and compliance activities Develop and mentor accounting and finance staff Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing operation Travel quarterly to two additional plant locations (Ohio and Toronto) What We're Looking For Manufacturing accounting and finance experience Strong cost accounting expertise in a plant environment Proven leadership experience with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams Experience partnering directly with operations and plant leadership ERP experience (SAP preferred) CPA and/or MBA preferred Excellent communication and business partnering skills Location & Travel Approximately 10–15% travel (primarily quarterly visits to two additional plant locations) The Ideal Candidate You're more than a traditional controller.
