Loan Processor/Assistant
Western Commerce Bank is looking for applicants to fill a loan servicing department position as a loan processor/assistant at our main branch in Carlsbad, NM.
Western Commerce Bank is a privately held community bank founded in 1961 and headquartered in New Mexico. Serving customers nationwide through local branches and digital banking. We offer personal and business banking including treasury, checking and savings accounts, loans, trust and wealth management, and digital banking solutions to individuals and businesses with a focus on relationships, local expertise, and trusted service.
Salary depends on experience, but is typically between $18 and $25 per hour. We offer medical, dental, vision, life insurance, other supplemental insurances and 401k to those who qualify. We are an EOE d/v.
Qualifications:
- Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
- Keyboarding skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Close attention to detail
- Must be able to work independently after training
- Highly motivated
- Must have at least a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have previous lending experience of at least 1-3 years
Basic Job Duties:
- processing, administration, and closing of various types of loans
- Assists loan officers with activities such as extension of new loans
- Answers routine customer questions regarding loans and loan application
- Processes and administers existing loans in the following areas (but may not do for all loan areas): installment, commercial, business, and mortgage loans
- Records new applications and loans
- May obtain credit information and ensure sufficient loan collateral
- Establishes relevant files and processes loan payments
- Prepares loan and credit reports as requested
- Answers customer inquiries and resolves routine problems
- Fill out necessary forms and reports as required by bank procedure and law
- Follow all bank and other procedures as required by law
- Follow branch opening and closing procedures
- Knowledge of Horizon core banking system a plus
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested
