Location: Sarasota, FL (In-person)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM (Flexibility required for after-hours support)

Compensation: $100,000 Base Salary (Flexible for the right leader) + 30% Bonus Opportunity (Performance-based)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Position Overview: Seeking a hands-on, high-performing HVAC Service Manager to lead our entire Service, Maintenance, and Warranty operations. You will oversee a team of approximately 30 HVAC technicians and service personnel, driving performance, profitability, accountability, and customer satisfaction. This is not a desk-bound administrative role; we are looking for a visible leader who will conduct ride-alongs, perform job-site visits, coach technicians, and actively manage department KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Accountability: Manage ~30 HVAC technicians, setting clear performance expectations, tracking KPIs, handling onboarding and training, and driving accountability for workmanship and customer service.

• Operations & Scheduling: Oversee daily dispatch coordination, maximize technician utilization, control unnecessary overtime, and ensure proper staffing for weekday and weekend service needs.

• Financial Performance: Own department P&L, monitor revenue, gross margins, average tickets, and labor costs, and collaborate with leadership to ensure profitability standards are met.

• Technical Training & Quality Control: Perform ride-alongs, quality-control inspections, and diagnostic coaching; resolve complex technical issues; and ensure accurate documentation in ServiceTitan.

• Customer Service & Safety: Handle customer escalations and service recovery, maintain strict adherence to safety policies and PPE usage, and foster a strong safety culture.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience within residential HVAC.

• Extensive residential HVAC field experience with a strong understanding of diagnostics, repair, and system performance.

• EPA 608 certification (Required).

• Proven track record of managing large teams (15–30+ technicians) and driving KPI performance.

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and familiarity with ServiceTitan (or similar field-service management software).

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

• Ability to pass comprehensive pre-employment screenings (background check, drug test, MVR, and work history verification).

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and access residential attics/cramped spaces during field inspections.
