Advising Specialist I, Wealth Management Advice and Solutions

The Financial Planning Advising Specialist I serves as a technical subject matter expert in Financial Planning. This role focuses on implementing a new standardized process for the review of financial plans, ensuring quality and consistency for clients. What You Will Do Review financial plans to ensure quality and alignment with firm policies. Partner with Financial Planning teams to educate, coach, and support advisors. Ensure consistent application of planning practices and identify improvements to policies and controls. Evaluate and help refine planning policies for alignment with oversight; build understanding of the firm’s business model and investment philosophy. Support updates to planning policies based on insights from plan reviews. Represent Financial Planning with key stakeholders and branch teams to uphold policy integrity. Collaborate on projects from planning through implementation as the planning SME. Partner with Service, Field Supervision, Compliance, Legal, and Operations to resolve planning‑related issues. Monitor industry, competitor, and regulatory trends. Drive results through collaboration with others. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required. 1‑2 years of relevant financial services experience. Series 7 and 66 required or attainable within 6 months of hire. CFP required or begin within six months of hire. Exceptional written, verbal, and communication skills – ability to simplify the complex. What Could Set You Apart CFP, CPA, CIMA, CFA, law degree or other relevant designation preferred. Candidates who live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ or St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Before June 1, 2026, they are expected to work three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday. Location Requirements This position is based in Tempe, AZ or St. Louis, MO. Candidates residing within commuting distance are expected to work on site as described above.
