Laundry Attendant

DESCRIPTION

Job Summary The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring all hotel linens, towels, bedding, and laundry items are cleaned, organized, and distributed in a timely and professional manner. This position plays a key role in maintaining Marriott brand cleanliness standards and supporting overall guest satisfaction. Essential Job Functions Operate commercial washers, dryers, and folding equipment safely and efficiently. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, and uniforms. Inspect linens for stains, tears, and damage and report items needing replacement. Maintain proper chemical usage and follow all safety procedures. Keep laundry room clean, organized, and stocked with supplies. Deliver clean linens to housekeeping storage areas as needed. Assist housekeeping team when necessary. Maintain productivity standards while ensuring quality results. Follow Marriott brand standards and hotel policies. Respond professionally to management requests and team needs. Ensure all lost and found items are handled according to hotel procedures. Qualifications Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred but not required. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and organization skills. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Ability to work in a warm environment around laundry equipment. Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment. Work Environment This position operates in a fast-paced hotel environment and requires maintaining professionalism and efficiency while supporting hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
