Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - 12 Hour Nights

We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our acute care team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and the ability to provide quality care to a diverse patient population. This position requires EPIC experience and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding any changes in condition.
• Assist with various medical procedures and provide education to patients and families.
• Participate in unit meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Schedule

This position is for 12-hour night shifts, specifically from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with weekends required as scheduled. The manager is open to block scheduling based on preferences.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required for all RNs and LPNs
• ACLS and PALS certifications are recommended but not required
• Strong medical-surgical background is essential
