Supervisor Distribution- 1st Shift (Thomasville, North Carolina, United States, 27360)

Mohawk Industries is looking for a Distribution Supervisor who has ownership over a team of 30+ associates, can direct safety initiatives on their team, and meets productivity requirements. Responsibilities Provide the proper equipment, training & oversight to ensure the safety of all personnel. Promote SAFETY initiatives using corporate direction and the assistance of the EHS Team to develop a SAFETY conscious culture. Plan and schedule the efficient use of associates and equipment to accomplish objectives. Coordinate directly with the Production Manager at the production facility to ensure production and distribution continuously work as a team to achieve objectives. Continuously measure/monitor performance according to established standards, completing performance evaluations and providing continuous performance feedback. Analyze productivity rates and make recommendations for process/procedure changes to achieve optimum productivity. Select, hire, train and appraise Distribution Team Members to attain the highest quality standards of service and achieve optimal productivity levels. Support development of Distribution Team Members through various training initiatives and cross‑train associates to achieve a flexible workforce. Maintain a highly motivated workforce by providing timely communications, displaying an attitude of consistency and fairness, and providing recognition for good work or ideas. Qualifications Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience with a Warehouse Management System, SAP or AS400 preferred. Ability to use a personal computer using software such as MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Broad knowledge of and experience with industrial warehousing and product distribution functions such as shipping, receiving, inventory control, work scheduling and customer service. Proven track record of success in leading and motivating a team in a warehouse environment. Demonstrated knowledge and successful application of sound employee relations practices including coaching and corrective action. Skills Working collaboratively as part of a fast‑paced team. Communicating effectively with a wide range of individuals. Driving optimization and results.
