Department: EEG Tech General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) Neuro Diagnostic program, Preferred American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABERT) Certification

InPatient Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties (Nuc Med? SE?DSE?): EEG's

Experience or 'Must have' skills - Graduation from certified Neuro-diagnostic program or four (4) or more years of relevant experience - Working knowledge of EEG - An understanding of medical terminology - Excellent mechanical/electrical skills to be able to maintain and trouble shoot equipment - Working knowledge of sterilization techniques and universal precautions - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - The ability to operate a computer - Working knowledge of test interpretation and techniques

Average # of scans/studies per day: 3 What EMR do you use? EPIC Department Specific Equipment (Client, Phillips, Siemens): Cadvell Is there a Lead Tech on each shift? NO Do they use assistants? NO Neurologist in house? Yes

Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 4 x 10 Weeknight/Call Requirements: NO Weekend/Call Requirements: YES - Once a Month (Day hours only) Holiday/Call Requirement: No Call or Standby requirement? NO Call response time? Varies depending on urgency Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided? Yes- Scrubs will be provided How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 1-3 days.
