JobSummary:


The Director of Community VictimServices provides strategic leadership, operational oversight,and program development for communitybased victim services, includingsatellite rape crisis centers, crisis response teams, and coordinated victimsupport initiatives. This role ensures highquality, traumainformed servicesfor survivors of sexual assault and related crimes while strengtheningcollaboration across mental health , legal , medical , and community systems .

KeyResponsibilities

ProgramLeadership & Operations

1. Satellite Center Oversight - Direct the daily operations,staffing, and service delivery of multiple satellite rape crisis centers toensure consistent, survivorcenteredcare.

2. Service Coordination - Develop and maintain integratedservice pathways across crisis counseling, advocacy, case management, andcommunity outreach.

3. Policy Implementation - Ensure compliance with federal,state, and local regulations, including VAWA, VOCA, and state victimassistance standards.

4. Quality Assurance - Establish performance metrics,conduct program evaluations, and implement continuous improvement strategies.

Interagency& Systems Coordination

Cross System Collaboration - Serve as the primary liaison tolaw enforcement, prosecutors, SANE programs, mental health providers, andsocial service agencies.

SystemicProblem Identification - Monitorand address systemic barriers affecting survivors' access to justice, safety,and healing.

CommunityPartnerships - Buildand sustain partnerships with community organizations, schools, hospitals, andadvocacy groups.

CrisisResponse & Survivor Support

Trauma Informed Practices - Ensure all services reflectevidencebased,traumainformedapproaches.

CrisisIntervention Oversight - Supervise24/7 crisis response operations, including hotline, hospital accompaniment, andemergency advocacy.

CaseConsultation - Provideexpert guidance to staff on complex cases involving mental health crises, legalchallenges, or multiagencyinvolvement.

StaffLeadership & Development

TeamSupervision - Recruit,train, and supervise advocates, counselors, and satellite center managers.

ProfessionalDevelopment - Developtraining curricula on sexual assault response, trauma, cultural humility, andsystems navigation.

WorkforceWellness - Implementstrategies to reduce vicarious trauma and support staff resilience.

CommunityEducation & Advocacy

PublicAwareness - Overseeprevention programs, community education campaigns, and outreach initiatives.

PolicyAdvocacy - Advocatefor improved victimrightslegislation, funding, and system reforms.

Data Driven Reporting - Prepare reports for funders,boards, and community stakeholders.

Qualifications

1. Master's degree in social work,public health, criminal justice, psychology, or related field.

2. 5-7+ years of experience invictim services, sexual assault response, or traumainformed program management.

3. Demonstrated expertise ininteragency coordination, systems advocacy, and crisis intervention.

4. Strong understanding of mentalhealth systems, legal processes, and communitybased service models.

5. Proven leadership, supervision,and organizational management skills.

Classification

Thisposition is classified as "Exempt" under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is,thereby, exempt from all overtime rules.
