PACU Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a day shift position. This role involves working in pre-op, post-op, and the PACU, offering care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will be a first-time traveler with experience in all phases of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the preoperative and postoperative phases.
• Administer medications and manage patient recovery in the PACU.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to patient needs, ensuring optimal recovery.
• Maintain effective communication with surgical teams and patients' families.
• Assess patient progress and prepare discharge instructions for families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with prior charge experience required.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Ability to float between pre-op, post-op, and PACU as needed.

Schedule

This position offers a stable schedule of 5x8 hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 03:00 PM, with no weekends or on-call requirements.
