TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Olympia, Washington, 98506!

Job Title: Med Surg Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Sub-Acute Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Ability to float between like units Description: Long Length of Stay/Acute Medical Surgical Registered Nurse. The unit has a mixture of dementia, autistic, and acute patients. Floating is required. Travelers regularly float between various like units within their skill set. Ratios: 1:4 during days, 1:5 during nights and weekends. Weekend shifts are required, every other weekend. First-time travelers are accepted. Special requirements include surgical procedures requiring overnight stays and medical observation patients. Patients may have complex needs, requiring various levels of assistance. Some patients have behavioral issues and cognitive impairments. Medical patients are assessed daily, while long length of stay patients are monitored weekly. The focus is on helping patients reach their baseline to assist with placement in appropriate facilities. There are special equipment and mobility aids available for patient care. Interdisciplinary support is provided by various teams including therapy and social services. Daily census averages around 18 patients with a mix of acute and long-term care needs.
