Oncology Nurse Practitioner
Holyoke Medical Center is an independent community hospital that has served the healthcare needs of the Pioneer Valley for over 125 years. We continue to grow and address the needs of our community through quality and patient-centered care. The Oncology Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive care to oncology and hematology patients in both the outpatient clinic and infusion center. Responsibilities include assessing patients, managing treatment plans, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, monitoring chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive treatments, and managing treatment-related side effects and infusion reactions. The NP collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while educating patients and families throughout the continuum of treatment. Requirements include a graduate of a formal Nurse Practitioner program. Experience as a Professional Nurse Practitioner or in a Nurse role with oncology experience is preferred.
