Assistant Store Manager – Self‑Storage This role supports daily operations of one or more self‑storage locations under the guidance of District Manager and Store Manager. The Assistant Store Manager ensures high cleanliness standards, delivers operational excellence, and builds customer relationships. Compensation Starting hourly pay range: $17.84 – $20.22. Shift: Daytime hours with potential Sundays off, depending on location. Requires working across multiple stores in the district. Responsibilities Build and maintain strong customer relationships by identifying storage needs and providing tailored solutions. Maximize sales objectives through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies. Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness through ongoing maintenance of the site, office, building, and grounds. Perform daily safety inspections and lock checks. Address customer concerns related to billing, security, auctions, and site usage. Handle cash transactions, balance receipts, process customer payments, and complete daily bank deposits. Maintain professional relationships with all Extra Space employees to protect company culture. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications At least 1 year of customer‑facing experience; sales experience preferred. Valid driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle (except in NYC & Brooklyn). Employees may need to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally, with exposure to seasonal weather conditions.
