Conducts studies in operations to maximize work flow and spatial utilization. Ensures facility efficiency and workplace safety.Essential Job FunctionsExecutes strategic objectives of engineering function to ensure operational reliability consistent with the needs of the broader organization and to ensure the maximum availability and longevity of assetsSupports and/or conducts equipment feasibility studies for recommendations for investment; contributes to development of capital expenditure planDesigns and manages capital projects to enhance efficiencies, improve performance, and meet growth plans, including defining the scope of work, budget, schedule and responsibilitiesCollaborates with cross-functional leaders to implement capital investment projects to drive operational excellenceSupports key stakeholders on project design and management, supplier selection, new equipment acquisition and installation, materials acquisition, and process changesAssures all tasks are performed in a safe manner, and comply with all company, local, state, and federal requirementsMaintains industry, professional and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publicationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree requiredMinimum of 8 years of relevant experience preferredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge and understanding of industry developments, trends and experiences related to manufacturing of products or product componentsKnowledge of methodologies, tools and techniques for designing, building and managing the manufacture of new productsKnowledge of the methodology and associated phases, activities and deliverables for the design of new products and the enhancement of existing products; ability to apply the methodology in diverse scenariosKnowledge of the methodology and associated phases, activities and deliverables for manufacturing new or enhancing existing productsKnowledge and associated ability to apply technical, scientific and mathematical knowledge to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or inventionKnowledge of technologies and applications used in manufacturing products and in the optimization of manufacturing processesPhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentPrimarily works in an office environment with frequent time spent in a production and/or warehouse settingFrequent travel requiredOccasional lifting up to 25 lbs.Two companies, one vision.Menasha Corporation consists of two companies that are leading the way to a sustainable future with packaging and supply chain solutions.
