Note: Travelers within 50 miles of the site will receive a $10/hour lower local rate.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients, including initial assessments, ongoing vital signs, and monitoring.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders; observe for adverse reactions and document responses.
- Maintain accurate charting and documentation; communicate changes in patient status to the multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor telemetry as indicated and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions; escalate to the charge nurse or physician as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case management; educate patients and families, and assist with discharge planning and safety/ infection control practices.

Requirements
- Active Maine RN license
- BLS and ACLS required within 30 days of hire
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- MOAB or CPI certifications preferred, but not required
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital Med Surg setting; strong communication and multitasking skills; team player
