The Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing and repairing trucks and trailers with a strong emphasis on safety and professionalism. This role requires effective communication with the shop foreman and the ability to respond to occasional roadside service calls. The position offers opportunities for skill development within a collaborative work environment. Must have tools of the trade.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues with trucks and trailers efficiently and accurately
• Repair mechanical equipment ensuring safety compliance
• Operate tools and equipment proficiently
• Communicate clearly with the shop foreman and other team members
• Respond to occasional roadside service calls
• Collaborate with the foreman to address repair challenges
• Adhere to safety protocols and standards consistently
• Apply problem-solving skills to maintain equipment reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical repair
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Experience in vehicle diagnostics and mechanical repair
• Knowledge of safety compliance
• Strong customer communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform roadside service
• Proficient in tool operation
